Retinal Pigment Epithelium (RPE) toxicity assessment

The RPE is a single cell layer between the choroid - separated by Bruch’s Membrane - and the photoreceptor cells (rods and cones). Toxic events in the eye very commonly manifest themselves within the RPE cell layer.

STZ OcuTox has years of experience assessing changes to the RPE cell layer. A wide range of methods is applied to various in vitro and in vivo models.
