Laser Scanning Ophthalmoscopy (SLO) autofluorescence
Ocular Coherence Tomography (OCT) retinal thickness, edema
Angiography (Fluorescein, Indocyanine Green)
Intraocular Pressure
Immuno-cytochemistry (activation of microglia. macrophages or Mueller cells, apoptosis…)
Electron microscopy fenestration,
A choriocapillaris from a monkey contains many fenestrations (arrow) towards Bruch´s membrane
Bruch´s membrane, integrity of outer segments of photoreceptors and other abnormalities
